Steve Nissle - Steve Nissle Photography

Born in Los Angeles, Steve Nissle grew up in the wonderful town of Monterey Park California in a tight knit family! The oldest of 4 children, Steve was deeply influenced by his Father and Mother. Ken started the professional photography studio in 1945. He had camera girls that took portraits of guests in 2 large cafeterias in downtown LA. The camera girls took a table picture, sold B&W images and then the darkroom staff processed and mailed the prints out! Ken hired Dorothy (DA) and in 1948 they were married.
By Steve's 16th Birthday the business consisted of a professional studio, a restaurant, 3 banquet rooms, and a party store, tux rental and catering. Steve worked them all and at the same time learned photography from his Father and the local HS and Jr. college.
In 1970-72 Steve served a mission to Southern England for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His first area was 5 miles from the birthplace of Photography, Henry Fox Talbot's Estate!
1972-77 Steve attended BYU in Provo Utah, took advanced photography and color printing. The best thing about BYU was Dianne Curtis! Steve and Dianne met and were married in 1977! They have 3 children, all 3 are married and they have 2 granddaughters!
In 1978 Steve and Dianne purchased the California Studio from Steve's Father and in 1986 moved it to a better retail area. The business grew with HS contracts, staff and many busy weddings and family portraits. As the Nissle family grew to 3 children, Steve and Dianne looked at quality of life, raising children, smog, earthquakes, etc,etc and began a 5 year search to finally find Mesa Arizona. In August of 1992 the Nissle's packed up the mini van, hired a moving company and they were off!
Steve Commuted to Southern California for 7 years while he built a business from his home in East Mesa. In 1998 Steve and Dianne purchased their current commercial property for their established studio along with rental units for other retail businesses.
Steve, Dianne and their son, Nolan, serve the studio's clientele which includes family portraits, maternity, babies, children, seniors, executives and events and weddings. On July 25th, Steve Photographed a wedding in Newport Beach--he had photographed the bride's parents wedding 32 years ago!
