How long have you been a photographer? When and how did you get started? How did you learn photography?
My Dad did a lot of photography when I was little, he had a dark room
in the basement so he inspired me early on, and bought me my first camera (a brownie) when I was about 10. I have always been the person who takes all the family snapshots, the documenter of ski trips, friends, etc.
I started getting seriously interested about 3 1/2 years ago when I took some photos for a client of their new headquarters building. I was not happy with them and wanted to learn to improve my photos. I have done on line courses, almost everything AZPPA has offered, did a 3 month mentorship with John Batdorf, took a digital class last Spring and an advance class this Spring with Scott Lizama at Gilbert-Chandler Community College.
I love the details of architecture and also the Old West aspect of
Arizona..
What is your specialty?
I enjoy architecture. I don't photograph people.

What are your goals for your business?
Apartment/Condo/home marketplace. Focus primarily on black and white
(which does not show in the final project video) and have some ideas on getting this launched, just need to be more proficient with photohop, and all I can do for that marketplace.
What has been your most successful marketing effort to date?
Not much yet, as I have been in the learning mode. So sales have been to people I know, a couple of former clients. Not enough to really consider it a business just yet, but certainly to get a better feel for the future.
Why did you join the AzPPA? What has been the best thing you have gotten out of being a member? Or what do you look forward to the most out of being a member?
I found the seminar on line where the photographer from Florida was giving a day
long program and attended that as my first exposure to your group. It was great, I was hooked and since then I have taken a lot of your classes and learned something every time.
Listening to others talk about their early days in their business has been most helpful to me, I learn from it and it keeps me motivated to continue to improve my skills because the goal is attainable.
