November 12th meeting is Canceled

The November 12th meeting will be canceled this month, due to a scheduling error. We apologize for the inconvenience.
The scheduled print critique will still occur, as planned. The submission deadline remains unchanged, and our friends from Oregon PPA will still be reviewing and providing feedback. In lieu of next week’s meeting, we will instead be playing the video of the critique during the social hour (5:30-6:30) of our December 3rd meeting. There will also be some AzPPA Master Photographers present during the viewing of the print critique to assist anyone who may want help in understanding the judges’ comments and feedback.
Our speaker for the December 3rd meeting, Ana Brandt, remains unchanged and will continue, as scheduled. She is great speaker, definitely someone you do not want to miss. We will also be announcing the speakers and events for 2020, so the evening will be filled with educational and informative events.

There are few educational opportunities that help improve your understanding of image quality then print critique and print competitions.
During image critique, members may submit up to 4 of their images (digitally submitted through the PrintCompetition.com website) to be evaluated by our panel of judges. After reviewing each image and giving a 'thumbs up' or 'thumbs down' score, each judge will in turn discuss every image that has been submitted to help the maker improve upon the image and potentially prepare it for higher level competitions.
There is no charge to members to submit images for this image critique. Non-members may enter up to 4 images as well for a fee of $20 (in addition to meeting fee).
Submitting for Image Critique is easy: Just follow these simple steps to upload your images:
1) Go to www.printcompetition.com and click on 'free registration of new user' if you have not already used printcompetition.com, otherwise log in with your exisitng User ID and Password (this is the same system we use for Arizona State Image Competition)
2) Once you are registered and logged on, click on the AZPPA box (shows November 2019 as date).
3) Select if you are a member, and also if this is the first time you are entering an AzPPA image event.
4) Click on the 'Create New Image Entry' button, then enter the information prompted (title of your image, category, and select if digital effects performed by you or not).
5) Click on 'Create New Entry' button and then upload your image.
Repeat the above steps for up to 4 images you would like to have critiqued.
It's that simple. If you are new to image critique and competitions, start your journey now towards improving your photography and taking the first steps towards earning your PPA Masters Of Photography or Master Artist degrees at the International Print Competition.
By receiving feedback on your images now, you will be better prepared for submitting your images at State, District and International Levels (it is the International Level where your images can start earning merits towards earning a PPA degree).
If you are experienced with image critiques and competitions, now is the time to have qualified judges help you understand ways to improve your images before you enter them at State, District or International.
